Ably organised by Margaret and Paul, the Ladies Singles competition was played in fine sunshine but with a gusty north east wind!
Eight competitors played a closely fought round-robin of five croquet games each. Three games held in the morning and the final two after a lunch break.
The eight players were Lynne, Janet M, Sue, Margaret, Anne H, Joyce, Judith and Joan.
The overall winner with a victory in all her five games was Janet.
The runners up were Lynne and Joan with three wins each and an equal number of hoops won against hoops against. Margaret was fourth with again, three wins, but a higher countback of hoops against.
